ENGLISH SUMMER CAMP FOR VIETNAMESE STUDENTS

Language Program:

– 4 class units (focusing on English language skills) in the morning, 45 minutes each

– 2 class units (with games, quizzes, visits and other fun activities) after lunch, 45 minutes each

– groups of min. 6 up to 10 students

– from beginner to proficiency level (depending on the level of participants)

– online placement test (both written and oral) before the course starts

– Debrecen Summer School examination and certificate

Cultural Activities:

– opening ceremony/farewell party

– guided tour in Debrecen

– Saturday excursion

– Hungarian gastronomy and foodways

– Hungarian folk dances and folk songs

– quizzes in English and Hungarian

– meeting with the staff of the Institute of English and American Studies, University of Debrecen

– visiting the American Corner, Debrecen

Leisure Activities:

– disco, karaoke night

– sports

– board games

– recreation in the famous thermal spa and at some popular events in Debrecen (information will be provided by DSS)

2-week camp in July

– registration: 20 July (Sunday), 14:00–17:00

– the camp starts on 21 July (Monday)

– daily schedule: 9:00–10:30; 11:00–12:30; 14:00–15:30

– the camp ends on 01 August (Friday)

– check-out time: 02 August (Saturday), before 10:00

2-week camp in August

– registration: 03 August (Sunday), 14:00–17:00

– the camp starts on 04 August (Friday)

– daily schedule: 9:00–10:30; 11:00–12:30; 14:00–15:30

– the camp ends on 15 August (Friday)

– check-out time: 14 August (Saturday), before 10:00

Accommodation and Meals:

– on-campus accommodation: Kossuth Lajos Dormitories (single, double or 3-bedded rooms)

– upon request, we can book a room in a hotel (please contact the Summer School staff)

– full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

– dining options: dinner at nearby restaurants

To apply, please send us a completed application form with a photo and a proof of the advance payment of 70 EUR, which will be counted towards the tuition fee.

* All bank charges must be paid by the remitter. (Our bank charges are 10 EUR if you pay in Euro).

The price of the teaching material (cca. 20 EUR) is not included in the course fee.
